I am currently the Special Agent in Charge (SAC) for the Railroad Retirement Board, Office of the Inspector General (RRB-OIG) in Chicago, Illinois. In addition to managing caseloads for agents, I am responsible for all aspects of the program including managing the budget, hiring and workforce development, and modernization of infrastructure.  I mange investigations involving Medicare, Social Security, financial statutes and various types of fraud. I also manage internal and administrative investigations.

I was previously assigned as a Special Agent in Homeland Security Investigations' Financial Investigations Group located in Riverside, California.  As a financial investigator, I was responsible for conducting large scale financial investigations into bank fraud, wire fraud, mail fraud, and money laundering.  My main investigative field was elder fraud, but I also investigated violations including drugs, smuggling, customs violations and AML/BSA violations.  During my various investigations, I utilized my skills and abilities to identify anomalous banking transactions, trace the source of the funds, identify fraudulent activity and develop evidence leading to successful prosecutions.

I previously served as Chief Intelligence Officer (CIO) for HSI Los Angeles. In this capacity I acted as second line supervisor for an office of analysts, agents, investigative assistants, and support staff. I was the senior intelligence advisor for the Special Agent in Charge and routinely provided guidance on intelligence issues and provided regular intelligence briefs. I coordinated intelligence support to high level investigations and regularly worked with interagency partners. I lead the HUMINT program for HSI Los Angeles which included developing plans and policy, managing personnel allocations and budget, and selecting and executing training. While acting as CIO I also planned and administered a systematic change in intelligence functions in the AOR to better align with the mission and goals of the organization. The success of this effort rested largely on my ability to develop a diverse workforce and foster an open and inclusive environment in the office, while improving the skills and opportunities of employees service wide. These changes increased intelligence production in the AOR by 173% over two years.

As the HUMINT Program Manager for the United States Coast Guard, I managed the budget, policy and personnel for an intelligence division consisting of approximately 200 individuals.  I routinely provided budget requests and plans for congressional approval and provided oversight for resource requests and allocation.  I managed a budge of approximately $20,000,000 a year (including payroll and benefits) with a discretionary budget of approximately $1,000,000.

As a Senior Reports Officer for DHS, I was responsible for a team of approximately 13 contract employees.  I managed schedules and assignments and reviewed work before dissemination.  Additionally, I was responsible for coordinating with partner agencies to ensure receipt of information needed for DHS reporting, and edited and released all reporting for the branch.
