Mark Resnick is seasoned public affairs professional with over 30 years of experience onthe Ottawa scene.He came to Ottawa in 1979 as the National Executive Director of the Canada-IsraelCommittee where he was responsible for overall management of the organizationincluding its strategic policy and communications activities.Mr. Resnick has played a number of key policy roles in national politics in Canada,having served as a senior policy advisor to The Right Honourable John Turner and theRight Honourable Paul Martin.In 1988 Mr. Resnick founded Parallax Public Affairs Inc., a public affairs consulting firm.He built Parallax into one of Ottawa’s most successful public affairs boutiquesrepresenting a broad range of private sector clients including corporations and industryassociations in the fields of financial services, telecommunications, publishing,transportation, biotechnology, health care, energy and the environment. In 2000 Parallax merged with two other public affairs firms to form The Rothwell Group wherehe practiced until November of 2016 when he co-founded McMillan Vantage Policy Group, the only public affairs consultancy in Canada that is anchored in a national business law firm.Mark served as the founding President of the Government RelationsInstitute of Canada. He has served on the boards of various social service andcommunity agencies in Ottawa. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the OttawaJewish Community Centre, and he was the communications team leader for the JewishCommunity Campus Capital Campaign. He also served on the Advisory Committee forthe Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario Capital Campaign and was a member of theOrganizing Committee for the National Arts Centre Gala.
