  I have the strategic lead for a number of Torbay public health priority areas under the Healthy Behaviours & Wider Determinants portfolio: life-course healthy weight, oral health, CVD prevention (including NHS Health Checks) and healthy schools. This post combines service commissioning, local and regional partnerships, evidence based public health delivery and intelligence application. The healthy weight and oral health areas include recent system leadership and design in conjunction with the other two local authorities and the Integrated Care Board in Devon.I also lead on a connected programme with Torbay Spatial Health, Highways and SWISCo to free up unused council for growing initiatives and ease the food insecurity crisis. It is anticipated that this innovative and exciting programme will go live over the whole of Torbay with implications for local authorities elsewhere.I have experience across other key public health areas including outbreak response (COVID), sexual health commissioning, substance misuse as well as alignment/joint delivery with the 0-19 child and young persons health portfolio.
