Over the past 20 years, I have gained a wealth of experience as a technician, analyst, systems engineer, manager, and head of IT. With this experience, I have accumulated a thorough knowledge of key infrastructure technologies including Networking, Server, Virtualisation VoIP, SD Wan, Saas, Endpoint protection + MDM as well as developing the key skills necessary to lead an IT department into new and exciting areas. I have experience of managing teams of between 5-15 support staff, both in house and remotely, as well as end users at over 29 sites in the UK, Europe, and the Far East. Within these roles, I have dealt directly with Senior Managers and Directors. I have a special interest in ERP transition projects, in particular Microsoft Dynamics NAV, of which, I have in-depth experience. I am also interested in cyber security and recently undertook a series of online courses to update and improve my knowledge in this area. As part of the security work for various client’s, I have configured and managed Privileged Access as part of projects including GDRP, AEO Accreditation and Cyber Essentials, digital transformations, ITIL and Prince2.In my various roles, I have developed a range of core skills which include: ● Confidence with managing budgets● Knowledge of ERP systems including NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Sage ● Competence with policies and security● Team management ● Project Management including ERP migrations, PAM projects, OS migrations Client and Server, Cloud migrations to both public and private cloud● Security knowledge around best practice for Cyber Essentials, GDPR and AEO Accreditation● Implementation of Privileged Access in Office365 ● Knowledge of managing an Office 365 Environment including AAD, Intune, Conditional Access● Ability to learn and adapt to new environments having worked in both the public and private sectors● Knowledge and practical user of ITIL, Prince 2, Agile and lean processes● Digital TransformationsOne of my best qualities is the ability to empathise and see situations from more than one perspective.
