Karara Mining Ltd. is a a large magnetite iron ore producer with integrated mining processing, rail and port facilities.The key tenets of the role are to drive operational discipline throughout the HST function, to provide effective customer service to line departments, to provide role clarity to team members, to set clear performance expectations and to provide constructive feedback. The role is accountable for all health and safety statistical reporting throughout the business as well as an increased focus on maintaining positive relationships with external regulators (particularly the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety). I have developed and implemented fit for purpose health and safety management systems, reworked and relaunched the existing INX InControl and InTuition information systems and developed auditing and other compliance tools that support the development of a safe workplace. I have also implemented a significant incident investigation process based on Intersafe Pty Ltd 8 Step Processes | Essential Factors which offers some advantages over other popular investigation techniques.Since August 2017, I have been appointed as Alternate Registered Manager for the Karara Mine Site. Working closely with the Registered Manager, targeted initiatives to rapidly improve the safety culture have been identified and implemented with success.The role draws on my strengths which include exceptional leadership, technical capability and a consultative style.

Supported multiple environmental approvals (s45C, works approval, licensing (Part IV and V).

Kanowna Belle Gold Mine initially then for the Kalgoorlie region.
