Also a part time judicial officer in three courts: relief judge for the City of Aurora (Since January 2021) and the City of Lakewood (Since November 2021), and a part-time Denver County Court Magistrate (Since May 2022).Before my time on the bench, I was a criminal law attorney running my private law practice for over ten years from 2012-2022. I worked zealously for indigent clients starting in 2008 as a student criminal defense lawyer, then as an intern with the Colorado Public Defender's Office in 2009. Having spent two years at the Kentucky Public Defenders office (Department of Public Advocacy), I moved back to Colorado and opened his law office focused on defending criminal cases and civil protection order matters.Licensed to practice law in Colorado. Licensed but inactive (not practicing) in Kentucky and District of Columbia.Before law school, my former career was in information technology in a web marketing, database development, and online data systems background. Experience involves software development (including coding in perl, Java, PHP, shell, and a little C++; client expectation development), software specifications, system administration in SunOS, Solaris, and Linux, Oracle database administration, forensics of computer intrusion, data recovery, and systems engineering (Sun Microsystems, RAID systems, TCP/IP networks, and some telco).
