About Mark Sage
My passion for quality assurance has led my career goals to investigate all aspects revolving around Agile principles. When embarking on any project, I implement Agile values from start to finish.With my 20 + years working in the testing and QA environment I coach, train and mentor teams on QA and Agile practices. My strengths are in people, bringing them together as a cohesive tactic to problem solving.In 2018 I took an ambitious but exciting step to gain experience in public speaking on Agile topics. The first opportunity I was presented with, was at the 2018 TestITAfrica conference where I presented regarding BDD, which has subsequently led to further opportunities that I have been invited to present at during 2019

Qa Lead - Enablement For Quality Assurance
- QA Lead on multiple projects -Staff compliment of between 5 and 20 (cobination of Test Analysts, Quality Engineers, Non Functional Engineers). - Management of Local and offshore (india) team members -Assigned to complex projects to assist testing on understanding integration and to assist with coming up with test approach based on the complexity. - Accountable for delivery of Non Functional and Functional activites across projects using both manual and automated test stategies- Implementation of Behavioural Driven Development for testing/QA teams as well as cross functional delivery team - Define approach - Train, coach and mentor teams on what BDD is and how to execute against the approach - Assist technical teams in implementing BDD Framework. - Review output from teams- Part of transformation team on new ways of working. - Create training material for testing teams with in Nedbank to understand what it means for testers to test in Agile/SAFe/DAD/Scrum environment - Conducted classroom training - Assisted in creating transformation road map- In capacity of QA Coach: - Assigned to critical path projects that are implementing agile/DevOps to coach teams on how to execute QA practices (not just the testing team, but full cross functional teams). - Present at different forums on new ways of performing QA within the bank. - To enable QA where there was no Agile coach assigned, I coached on Agile/Scrum/SAFe to the team - Coach agile coaches on QA best practices. - Enable and train agile teams on QA practices.- Team lead to start up digital projects
