I manage 3 teams of 1 Supervisor and 6 Claims Adjusters in Crown Point, Granger and Fort Wayne handling 37 counties in Northern Indiana. I also manage over 35 repair shops on the Progressive Network Program which includes visiting these shops several times a year to discuss their performance results in relation to our goals and monitoring their repair quality. Manage the Claims Branches of as many as 24 full time employees. I was also the Fire and Theft Process Leader for the state of Indiana for 3 years.

My responsibilites included to triage new loss assignments and oversee dispatching of estimates to complete. Focus on people development through performing file reviews, ride alongs and coaching of claims handling. I was also responsible to make sure policies/procedures were implemented, communicated and followed. I also montored diary management to ensure accurate and efficient handling of files.

Handled Auto and Special Lines claims in the southwest Michigan area. Daily responsibilities included investigation into the facts of loss, to investigation and ensure policy coverage was in order, write the estimates, to monitor the repair process to minimize problems and ensure customer satisfaction. My goal was to handle claims accurately and efficiently while trying to focus on achieving/exceeding company goals.

Maintained an inventory of 125-150 files specializing in litigation and high exposure claims in 23 states. Attended Mediations, Settlement Conferences and Trial which involved face-to-face negotiations and business travel. I was also responsible to recognize, research and resolve coverage issues.

Found prospective candidates for open requisitions using various resources. I interviewed candidates and completed reference checks to confirm the candidate fit the requirements for the position. I also handled Personal Auto claims which included Michigan Personal Injury Protection (PIP) claims. I met with some commercial insureds quarterly to discuss open claims and calibrate on a resolution strategy.
