I have over 32 years experience working in the NHS Mental Health Services in Psychiatric Intensive Care, Early Intervention in Psychosis Service, Acute Mental Health Services, Fornsic Mental Health Services, Child and Adolescent Services and Crisis Resolution Team.I have vast experience of supporting people with complex mental health issues in both impatient and community settings. I continue to work in the Crisis Resolution Team at weekends managing and assessing risk in regards to self harm and suicidal ideation. I have been a Clinical Trainer since June 2016 delivering Basic Life Support for NHS, Moving and Handling, MAPA (Management Actual Potential Agression), Fire Safety Training and Mental Health First Aid To NHS staff.I have recently moved to University Hospitals Leicester as the Training Lead for DMI (De-escalation Management Intervention).I also train independently with Mindshift delivering MHFA Nationally and for my own Training Company providing Physical Intervention Courses and Mandatory Training to Nursing Agencies, corporate and the general public.
