I was a Senior Associate in Fieldfisher’s Commercial IP team specialising in advertising, marketing and consumer law.I provided advice to a range of brand owner and agency clients on a variety of matters including commercial contracts, intellectual property rights, consumer law, data protection, the Gambling Act, e-commerce issues and the regulation of advertising and marketing. I also gained considerable experience in managing international compliance projects for my clients and helping them respond to Advertising Standards Authority investigations.My clients included some of the world's leading brands in a range of sectors including travel, hospitality, food, retail and entertainment.I was instrumental in drafting ISBA's new template agreement for media buying and planning services, which was used by the Association of National Advertisers in the US as a base for drafting their own template agreement.For several years I wrote a regular legal column for The Marketer magazine and have had articles published in E-Commerce Law & Policy, Data Protection Law & Policy and the Journal of Direct, Data and Digital Marketing Practice. I regularly spoke at seminars and events on various aspects of advertising, marketing and consumer law.
