Hats. I’ve worn many during my career. Each one represents my growth and accomplishments in the automotive retail space for over 20 years.Some hats fit better than others. I’ve worn each one as I worked my way from the bottom up to District Manager of Firestone Complete Auto, District Manager at Mr. Tire, and Green Bean Battery’s Operations Director and Wholesale Manager.Because of my work history, I take a servant leadership approach to working with staff. Embracing this philosophy allows me to share power, put the needs of the employees first, and help people develop and perform as highly as possible.Another way I turn the norm on its head is by proactively bringing solutions to problems such as lost revenue and inefficient processes that have gone unnoticed to the company’s owner or its leadership. This lies in contrast to waiting for a directive to be handed down from the top. Here are a few examples from my most recent position with Green Bean Battery: Established a” workflow” in the production, making it safer and more proficient at the main warehouse Increased production over 150%, bringing the batteries being built from 75-85 weekly to nearly 160 Instituted a double check SOP to decrease workmanship issues, reducing the 10-12% “dud” rate to less than 5%  Identified and spearheaded an initiative to diversify ownership’s field warranty liabilities and lower payroll expense by building remote warehouses/build sites in strategic national locations in CA, TX, CO, CT, FL, and WI  Created a new revenue stream and increased profits by establishing a wholesale business and building new, sustainable relationships with Advance Auto, O'Reilly's, and AutoZone; they now sell 10-15 each weekDue to corporate restructuring, I am seeking the opportunity to bring all my experience and knowledge to a new position within the auto retail industry.
