Over 37 years of experience in the public and private sector of the transportation industry, I have invested my time in developing leadership skills while keeping up with the latest maintenance practices, technology advancements, industry KPI, and regulations.I have a vast range of leadership expertise in multiple modes of transportation including bus, rail, facilities, and ferry operations. I am a graduate of the LEAD Hampton Roads Regional Leadership Program.I have a vast range of technical expertise some of which include rail signaling, revenue equipment, power systems, diesel and electrical propulsion systems, and communications.I have performed the following tasks while in various leadership roles:-Project Management of multimillion dollar contracts for the construction and installation of railroad signaling, communications, and overhead power systems-Provided development/coaching guidance to multiple levels of staff and technically skilled personnel-Managed multiple transportation modes including buses, ferries, and railroad systems-Prepared technical documents and presentations -Managed an operating budget in excess 20 million dollars. -Developed a long-range budget for 30-year “State of Good Repair” life cycles.I would consider problem solving one of my specialties. Whether a technical issue or an operational issue, I am motivated by what it takes to create a solution and implement a resolution. This is even more rewarding when it benefits the whole organization.
