Obtained my commission in 2004 as an Alberta Land Surveyor. During 12 years with OPUS Stewart Weir Group I helped build and develop a team of skilled staff in the Calgary office while managing numerous projects and client relationships. The Land Survey Team in Calgary grew to 40 people during a seven-year period and was the main catalyst for starting other opportunities such as the Power Infrastructure Group, Pipelines Group and the Engineering Group within the Calgary region.Throughout my career I have demonstrated an entrepreneurial spirit and an ability to work as a valued and trusted team member by building relationships with people and groups to ensure we are pursuing goals methodically and effectively. As the manager, I attempted to enhance the client’s satisfaction, by encouraging and influencing all Project Managers to build meaningful relationships with their clients, internally and externally; to engage them regularly through diligent communication, and meet with them as often as possible. I was an early promoter of our project management manual.
