Security Products Materials Controller
• This role has seen me involved in the operation, manufacture & material control of specialised paper products including responsibility of security papers used internationally, e.g. Lottery Tickets, Ballot, Land Register & Passport Paper• I am responsible for security additions during the production of any security paper, such as fibres & chemical additions which I then test for reactions using various test equipment to verify the product which includes:• UV Lighting, PH Levels – (Surface, Extract & Hot), Prussian Blue for anti-counterfeit tests.• I am also trained and involved in the various operations of the process and in different departments within the Mill which includes the feeding of virgin stock to the pulping machine, trained in the mix floor (controlling starch levels & chemical additions), controls of composition/recipe.• My role also oversees the custodial transfer, dosage control and security of highly specialised chemicals for identifying authenticity of security papers. Further, I am a voluntary member of the on-site fire crew & emergency appliance.
Rov Tooling Technician & Pilot
• Within this role I successfully completed several assignments for Ceona, delivering to Petrobras (Brazil) based on various Dive Support & Construction Vessels (i.e. Polar Onyx). I was responsible for Mission planning, Hardware preparation & Piloting / Operating Schilling ROV’s for Pipelay and Survey operations. Deliverables included daily time logs, live video stream and accommodating changing client requirements.• Pre & post-job, I undertook inspection, testing & preventive maintenance of ROV’s & support systems, including the tether management system (TMS), Launch & Recovery System (LARS) and various sheave wheels.• In addition to planned activities above, where required, I carried out and diagnosed system faults and keep daily logs of maintenance and dive logs. Also required to attend client vessels and sites to assist with the integration of 3rd party tooling. Site Integration Test & Trials of tooling on customer sites prior to deployment.
Rov Tooling Technician
• My Oceaneering role saw me being exposed to larger range of systems & tooling and further responsibility versus my previous role with Forum, as well as being part of a larger global company. Maintenance, fault-finding, repair and test of products included: -o Tool Deployment Units (containerized)o Smart Valve Toolso Dredging systemso Torque tools, cutters, waterjet, LAOTS, FLOTS (per below)• Reporting and recording maintenance activities using the in-house Maintenance Database. • Also required to attend client vessels and sites to assist with the integration of rental tooling. Interface testing of tooling onto desired ROV prior to job deployment.• As a preventive measure following the BP Macondo disaster, I was involved with the testing and validation of an emergency BOP including the launch and recovery system which was ready to be deployed at an hour’s notice.
Rov Tooling Technician
• Promoted into this role, my responsibilities were around the testing (pressure), inspection, maintenance and job preparation/deployment of ROV Tooling systems, which included:• Torque tools with various torque ranges and interfaces:o Subsea hydraulic cutters & grinderso Waterjet cleaning tools for inspection preparationo Linear Actuating Override Tools (LAOTS)o Flying Lead Orientation Tools (FLOTS)• Further, post-job fault-finding, repair, & upgrading of tooling systems.• Required to attend client vessels and sites to assist with the integration of rental tooling onto the client ROV. I was also responsible for ordering of spares parts for the repair and maintenance on tooling and also maintenance of consumable stock levels for items such as brushes and blades.• I have also conducted several offshore trips as a Tooling Technician on-board customer vessels. This involves assisting with the integration of tooling onto customer ROV systems, problem solving and operations of the tooling on projects.
Tooling Technician/Storeman
• Using the Trojan system for material control, I was responsible for booking in goods and service equipment. Assisting in the building of ROV systems Thrusters, whilst working towards my training as a tooling technician.• Picking parts for work orders and sales orders. Shipping ROV systems and parts.• Responsible for the flow of materials in & out and per previous, ensuring the database reflected physical status.• Interfacing with Quality Control to report 3rd party components which fell out with Forum technical specifications.
Offshore Materials Controller (Conocophillips Britannia Asset)
• Strong familiarity of SAP used during the issue of all materials including serialized items (assemblies and rotable spares), hand tools and consumable parts to employees that were required to maintain the asset. Further responsibilities included: • Control & issue of PPE to employees. • Running welding equipment and fire watching welders. • Radio & logistics support for loading and unloading supply vessel operations & deck-space management• Booking-in above items and updating SAP to reflect physical quantities in stock.
