AOC Site Representative and Subsea Engineer based off-site at various vendor locations. Daily Tasks include witnessing the refurbishment and testing of all our Subsea Field Equipment including horizontal/vertical trees and associated tooling. Working closely with the Contractor Service Techs, I share my knowledge and experience, give guidance and solutions when asked for whilst reviewing engineering drawings/schematics and FAT/SIT Procedures. I report weekly to Senior Management at AOC Head Office on updates and any findings whilst mobilising kits for DSV and Rig campaigns. I am also the Subsea Supervisor during these campaigns ensuring all procedures are followed and the job is completed in a safe and timely manner.

Reporting to the SIT Manager, i was tasked with running a team of 6 technicians performing various SIT's for a variety of Customers including Shell, BP, Apache, Nexen, Maersk, Chevron and Inpex Ichthys. Subsea Activities performed onshore to allow the Customer the satisfaction of knowing that the kit that we were sending Subsea for their campaign was of the highest quality possible and with correct functionality.Stackups of Wellheads, Flowbases and XT's, Interfaces of EDP/LRP and Corrosion Caps, Running and Retrieving of Tubing Hangers and Wear Bushings were all common activities, as well as ROV Ops and Production/IWOCS Controls Testing with 3rd party vendors such as Subsea7, Oceaneering, Fugro, Aker, Proserv and Advantec.Within the companys competency matrix, i had achieved Master Status.

Based in the Test and Assembly area, reporting to a Shift Supervisor, working various shift patterns, tasks included the build and FAT of Connectors, Valves, Wing Blocks, Tubing Hangers, Chokes and Subsea Trees. Tubing Hangers, ITC'S, Wear Bushings were equipment that was interfaced during testing operations as well as Lift Caps, Cart Tools and Test Connectors for handling operations.

4 year apprenticeship with the first year based at Angus Training Group, Arbroath, where i learned the basics of Engineering including Milling, Turning, Welding and Electronics. The following 3 years were spent onsite at GE, Aberdeen, where i moved round the departments of Assembly, Testing, Engineering, QC/QA, while one day a week going day release to college at Angus College, Arbroath to complete my NC/HNC.
