• During deployments to Puerto Rico and Okinawa, oversaw all logistics/ construction supply operations and environmental compliance operations for 600-person organization. Coordinated movement of over 1100 personnel and 100 tons of cargo and materials in support of contingency construction, humanitarian assistance and disaster recovery operations. Supported over 100 projects with tools, equipment, and materials without delays in Okinawa, Japan, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Cuba and Haiti. Awarded the Chief of Naval Operations Environmental Stewardship Award for streamlining hazardous waste and improving hazardous material re-use programs.• During 6-month homeport, led planning and preparations for deployment of 60-person unit to Sasebo, Japan including technical and combat skills training, medical and dental readiness, and construction project planning for 15 projects totaling over 4,000 man-days (approximately $2M in labor value).
