The Damen Shipyards Group is a global shipbuilding company building ships at more than 40 shipyards around the globe and delivering vessels across the full range of maritime markets - from pilot boats to superyachts, from tugboats to warships. Asiaworld Shipping Services is the registered agent for Damen for all sales in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific. My role is to represent Damen for all Government sales across the region as well as commercial sales for New Zealand and the South Pacific.

Four Pillars is a leading Australian distillery based just outside Melbourne in the Yarra Valley. Launched in 2013, Four Pillars started with a London dry gin in a truly modern Australian style. It's a really unique gin, combining powerful flavours , an awesomely clean spirit, and enough classic notes to fascinate and delight even hardened gin fanatics. Since then Four Pillars has released a number of variations of the theme (Navy Strength, Negroni, Aged and "bloody shiraz"​ gins to name just a few). The Four Pillars Distillery is in Healesville and is a wonderful showcase of the incredibly innovative team.My involvement was purely as a silent partner until the recent 100% acquisition by Lion. The Four Pillars team are doing a wonderful job making amazing craft gin and spreading the joy as far and wide as possible.

Appointed on 31 March 2012, and re-appointed in March 2015 to a further 3 year term, as Chair of the Defence Reserves Support Council - NSW.The DRSC is a Government organisation that aims to enhance the availability of the Reserve component of the ADF by promoting the benefits of Reserve service to employers. The DRSC also aims to establish a flexible partnership with the community and employers so they are encouraged to support those in the Reserve.

North Sydney

Mark was the General Manager, Marine, for Serco Systems, a business unit of Serco Australia, Pty Ltd. Serco Systems is the largest OEM independent systems integrator and services provider in the Defence, Customs, Police and paramilitary markets in the region with current revenue around $400M and over 800 employees. It was formed following the acquisition of DMS Maritime by Serco in late 2012.He was responsible for the development of the commercial marine arm of the business capitalising on Serco's global marine experience and DMS Maritime's 15 years of marine service provision to Australian Government and commercial clients.

Prime responsibility to identify and win business opportunities in both the defence and commercial markets.

Led the Port Services and Support Craft Contract in 2008-09 with full P&L responsibility. Then moved to head office as the lead operations negotiator for the Fleet Marine Services Contract with the RAN. This contract was signed in Sep 10, is worth over $500M, and includes a comprehensive capital acquisition program. I then led the the transition into full service delivery concentrating on establishing the people, processes and governance to ensure long term success.

In command of Sydney's largest Naval Base. Responsible for administration of 2500 personnel, security, OH&S, public affairs and a senior Naval representative in the Sydney area.

Strategic Planner for Global war on Terror based in Tampa, Florida with USCENTCOM. Member of Combined Planning Group - an international think tank within the USCENTCOM HQ.
