My involvement and passion for fitness and teaching as well as other opportunities I’ve participated in that makes me a well-rounded professional. As a student employee I developed a foundation understanding how a campus recreation and fitness program run which led me to pursue a career in this field. Having worked in three different Universities, I’ve had the pleasure of being mentored by a diverse group of professionals and have been exposed to very different opportunities which I believe has helped me to become a well-rounded professional.During my tenure at Boise State University my focus has been on student development and community involvement. Thus far I have had the pleasure of implementing programming such as the first ever powerlifting competition at Boise State Campus Recreation, a community wellness focus incentive title NewU Challenge, and I have focused on providing leadership opportunities to student employees by implementing student led staff meetings.
