• Developed award-winning interactive educational workshop-toolkits about land use for community members: the Affordable Housing Toolkit, the Zoning Toolkit, and the ULURP Toolkit (about NYC's land-use review process).• Researched, wrote, and edited two 150+ page illustrated pocket guidebooks on development issues in NYC to accompany our workshop-toolkits: What Is Zoning? and What Is ULURP?.• Managed dozens of projects created by small teams formed with community groups and designers to create award-winning visual explanations of public policy as part of CUP's Making Policy Public program. This work included project management, research, writing, content development, art direction, design, and print production. Topics were as varied as: fracking, public housing, the rights of domestic workers, the Affordable Care Act, and banking reform. Awards included: the Sappi Ideas that Matter grant (multiple times), the Core 77 Design Award, and the Cooper Hewitt National Design Award, and recognition from our community partners at Brooklyn Defender Services for the quality of my work.• Facilitated hundreds of workshops and talks about affordable housing, zoning, and ULURP for thousands of community members, advocates, and planning professionals in neighborhoods across NYC.• Developed a network of partnerships with community groups working on a wide variety of social justice issues across NYC. Maintained excellent working relationships with sometimes difficult people.• Developed, designed, and produced maps with GIS software that combined HUD income limits and Census data to help research and visualize affordable housing issues in NYC and Chicago.• Managed the update of data and design of an online map-tool which looks at how housing policy affects affordability in NYC.• Published letter on critical urban issues in Harper's Magazine.
