Aug 2018 – presentPersimmon Homes (South Coast)Assistant Site ManagerI joined Persimmon Homes on a site in Andover after 6 years out of the industry. My duties were to report to the Site Manager, take over the units once dry lined through to completion. This included snagging of units, getting the trades to bring the units up to company standard. Once the units were occupied, I looked after the occupiers and sorted out any problems they may have had. Other duties included ordering materials, running the development in the absence of the Site Manager. I had to retake all my qualifications as the tickets had expired. These are listed at the end under “Qualifications”.It was agreed when I started that I would work towards becoming a full Site Manager as I hadpreviously been. This never came about as it was deemed that I was more useful looking afterCustomer Care and Housing Association remedial work. This resulted in me managing torelease £23,000 in retention monies and there was at least another 5 years worth of historicalwork with approximately 140 other units.With the outbreak of covid I was taken from the Andover site and had to visit all south coast sites to check that the site was running to the companies covid polices. This went on for approx. 6 months after which I was sent to the companies Charles Church development at Denmead. This has been a huge challenge as this had a large number of customer care issues which I have been able to resolve. The site also has a number of Housing association property's which I also had to finish and hand over.From February 2022, I have been working with the Customer Care department. It has has been very challenging work, dealing with escalated customers and working closely with Housing Association on defects and end of year defects. This has been very rewarding as each plot completed releases money to Persimmon Homes. I feel this is something that I would like to continue.
