Responsible for leadership of the Tinker AFB cybersecurity program office. Leadership and vision for securing network and computer services to support current and future base missions.Project scopes ranging from large scale network technology migrations to leading troubleshooting efforts on existing systems.Preparation and delivery of briefings on status and plans for the Chief Information Officer and General Officer/Senior Executive Service staff.

Advise and mentor the senior communications staff for the Afghan National Army (ANA).Responsible for leading team of advisors on the full spectrum of communications technologies and issues to include spectrum management, radio, telecommunications and networks. Includes planning, budgeting and execution of purchases exceeding 50M USD annually.Plans and leads missions to locations across Afghanistan. Functions as patrol leader, medic and guardian angel. Contracting Officer Representative responsible for multiple contracts to include operations and maintenance of ANA computer network, printing plant and radio support. Contract oversight exceeds 60M USD annually. Preparation and delivery of briefings on status and plans to CSTC-A and HQ RS management.

Network Control Center and Network Operations Branch Chief for 25,000 user network. Responsible for security, design, engineering, installation, implementation and integration of all network/system infrastructures. Leadership and supervision of 90 to 100 technicians and engineers. Responsible for leading all aspects of project research, technical, security and cost analysis, budgeting, implementation and sustainment for all network and systems. Responsible for leadership and vision for development of network and services to support current and future base missions.Project scopes ranging from large scale network technology migrations to leading troubleshooting efforts on existing systems.Preparation and delivery of briefings on status and plans for the Chief Information Officer and General Officer/Senior Executive Service staff.

Tinker Air Force Base

Network Infrastructure Section Chief for 25,000 user network. Duties included oversight and technical leader for 12 to 15 technicians.

Network Infrastructure Technician for 25,000 user network. Duties included installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of network equipment including Cisco routers and Cabletron and Cisco Ethernet switches. Primary interface between Network Operations section and File Services and Exchange section. Oversight of migration of approximately 10,000 users from Novell Netware and Microsoft Mail to a single NT authentication domain and Microsoft Exchange. Lead migration troubleshooter utilizing Sniffer protocol analyzer.

Network Administrator for 400 local and 100 geographically separated users. Supervision of a network help desk staffed by 10 network technicians. Supervision and technical guidance for the installation, maintenance and administration of Microsoft Windows 95 and Windows NT workstations. Management of the installation, maintenance and support of Windows NT Server, SQL Server, Proxy Server, Internet Information Server and Exchange Server. Support of remote access via dial-in and Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol. Management of the testing and deployment of new network applications. Evaluation of new and Beta software for possible network implementation.

Third and fourth line technical support for 10,000 user Novell NetWare network. Migrated Internet mail connectivity from DOS, Microsoft Mail and UNIX based systems to Microsoft Exchange. Integrated Microsoft Exchange with Microsoft Mail running on Novell NetWare 3.1, 4.1 and 4.11 servers. Planned and began migration of 3,500 users form Microsoft Mail to Microsoft Exchange.

First and second line technical support for 120 user network. Migrated servers from Novell NetWare 3.12 to Windows NT Server. Managed migration team to move all users from DOS and Windows 3.1 to Windows 95. Installed 10Base2 cable plant.
