To prepare Technical Specifications, bills of quantity, drawings and all documents for the responsive repairs, servicing planned maintenance works and refurbishment projects. To supervise and control works carried out to City Council properties by contractors and to certify accounts for this work. Prepare detailed work programs and monitor their achievements as required. Undertake general surveying works and to assist with the development and maintenance of computer based and manual office systems and records. Use of AutoCAD and other computer based programs. The range of buildings varied from swimming pools and recreation centres to civic centre, law courts and dwellings both standalone and high rise flats. In refurbishment contracts, and housing heating conversions the work is undertaken from the design stage to final completion of the contract.
