After completing my training, I have worked multiple metro routes out of the Slade Green depot over the last 7 years. This has given me an invaluable opportunity to provide an exemplary service to all Southeastern customers, as evident by my clean safety line record. The role of a train driver has increased my hazard perception skills and ensured that I am always focused and dedicated to responding flexibly to any changes or issues arising on a day to day basis. I was able to handle a particularly challenging problem by responding to the instructions from the control room effectively when a suicidal individual was on the line. By listening and responding appropriately I was able to help ensure the safety of that individual, while ensuring the safety of the passengers on my train, liaising efficiently with the signaler, emergency services and MOM to ensure the safety of all and then the reopening of the line. My quick thinking and calmness in high pressured situations is therefore a quality integral to the role of a train driver. I am an exceptionally organised individual, ensuring log books of any delays or problems on the lines are reported and ensuring passengers are updated accordingly when issues do unfortunately arise.

Working in Charing Cross and Waterloo East I ensured the integral running and operation of a smooth service for all passengers, ensuring all tickets were monitored to prevent reuse. I developed key customer relation skills, dealing with hundreds of passengers daily and their respective and vast arrays of issues and concerns. Moving on from here I became part of the despatch staff team, where I ensured the safe departure of services throughout the day, while maintaining exemplary customer service relations and learning important signalling issues which benefited me later during my train driving career.

Working as an auditor of revenue at Blackheath Private Hospital I undertook the collecting, recording and analysing of financial data. I was responsible for systematically reviewing key documentation and assembling financial statements and reports ensuring accuracy was maintained at all times.
