I’m a research scientist interested in the mechanisms that underlie disease pathologies and how we can intervene with novel therapeutics. Ph.D. in Infection and Immunity with 12 years of experience in inflammation, metabolism, mitochondrial disease, oxidative stress, and aging. I have expertise in several models (in vitro and in vivo) including fruit flies, cell culture, isolated mitochondria, and mice. Since the start of my career I have fully appreciated and understood the importance of translational science, which has drove my passion to do research. Track record of being an innovative and critical thinker with excellent study design skills. Efficient at working on multiple projects simultaneously and as part of a cross-functional team to meet timelines. An eloquent and thoughtful speaker to both peers and layman audiences. My colleagues would describe me as a proactive, kind, and a resourceful leader, who gives time to educate, listen, and inspire my fellow colleagues. You are only as good as your team.Currently I’m seeking opportunities that will further develop my skills and passion for finding and developing interventions for human disease.
