About Mark Weeding
Having started my career working with young offenders I pursued the goal of managing and growing a thriving organisation which reflects my values and beliefs. After 25 years with DISC I retired in 2015. I left with pride because of what the organisation does and stands for, the strength of the team who worked with me and the financial growth that we achieved.We started with 40 staff in Co Durham in 1990 and when I left I left we had well over 500 staff across the North of England and £21m turnover. I have been a board member of Nepacs for over 10 years and in 2019 I was elected as Chair. This has continued my interest in supporting charitable organisations working in the CJS and I am very proud of the work we do with families.I spend much of my time nowadays seeing my grandchildren, climbing, cycling and travelling.
