I am a specialist taxation adviser with, and director of, an Australian law firm West Garbutt, qualified as a solicitor and chartered accountant with a combination of legal and accounting skills and experience. I provide advice across a range of Australian Federal and State taxes, including income tax, capital gains tax, goods and services tax, payroll tax, fringe benefits tax and land tax.The firm is a boutique specialist tax firm based in Brisbane office but acting for local, national and international clients.My clients range from private individuals to mainly large private groups, but also some public companies seeking specialist taxation advice. I have a particular interest in the retirement living industry, for which I am recognised as a specialist adviser on taxation issues for retirement villages.I regularly speak on taxation topics for professional bodies, as well as to other legal and accounting firms.
