With 20 years on-going experience working in the post 16 FE sector, I have worked in a variety of settings and roles such as IAG Manager, Head of Training & Delivery, Quality Assurance Manager and before that I have had a variety of teaching roles within the Adult Education sector including; ESOL Tutor, Functional Skills Tutor, Employability Tutor, Skills for Life and Business English Tutor. My experience has covered working in EAB Schools, Secondary Schools, Sixth Forms, Colleges, Training Providers, Employer Workplaces as well as local Jobcentres. I have taught and prepared learners for exams as well as providing IAG and employability sessions to help people gain employment, especially in the Construction and SIA Security sectors. I have a working knowledge of AEB funding, Traineeship and Apprenticeships and Government funded projects such as the Work Programme, Flexible New Deal, Working Neighbourhoods Fund, Train to Gain, ESOL Intervention 1. As well as helping to prepare for audits and Ofsted inspections, I have contributed to sourcing new business development projects by promoting services through multi-agency networking.
