Mark F. Wolfe is a founding partner of the firm’s Chicago office. A seasoned litigator and trial attorney with a multi-faceted practice, Mark has successfully represented his clients in state and federal courts throughout the country. Mark focuses his practice on defending complex medical malpractice, professional malpractice, construction, trucking, products liability, and labor and employment actions. Throughout his career, Mark has served as lead counsel in significant cases involving catastrophic losses against the top trial attorneys in Chicago and in over 30 other states. Additionally, Mark represents employers in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies in areas including employment discrimination, employment contracts, and non-compete and restrictive covenant litigation. Mark also counsels excess carriers and serves as monitoring counsel in high exposure cases. In this capacity, Mark skillfully advocates for his excess insurer clients in mediations and other alternative dispute resolution proceedings. Mark’s practice also includes representing insurance companies in nationwide multi-million dollar commercial disputes involving first-party property losses. Mark counsels insurers regarding coverage issues arising from natural disasters and draws upon his extensive litigation experience to defend insurers in first-party property litigation and arbitration proceedings. Mark also counsels primary and excess carriers in complex insurance coverage disputes and provides coverage opinions with respect to general liability, professional liability and employment practices liability matters. Mark’s coverage litigation experience includes defending insurers against contentious claims of bad faith and extra-contractual liability.
