I have now nearly worked in the sugar industry for 25 years ever since I left University with a Mechanical Engineering Degree. I have enjoyed every moment in this fascinating industry, where sugar gets into you blood and never leaves.Currently working as Sales Manager for Thomas Broadbent & Sons Ltd using my experience to provide Centrifugal solutions and customer service to both existing and new customers. I started my carer back in 1990 when I joined British Sugar where I gained valuable knowledge in the Sugar Beet Process, Project Engineering, Maintenance and Management of a team of people.I joined Fletcher Smith in 1997 taking on various challenging roles during my time in the company, travelling extensively throughout the world gaining experience of different sugar processes. Using this experience and exceptional customer service in my final role as Probe Product Manager, I took a poorly performing product, turned the product around and quadrupled the turnover in just 3 years.In 2012 I decided to move companies to my current position with Thomas Broadbent & Sons for a new challenge but where I could continue to use my extensive knowledge of the Sugar Industry.
