Responsible for infrastructure (water, wastewater, stormwater) engineering and developer-side environmental projects. Working to establish a core project management and delivery practice as well as a sustainable (green) development practice.

Working VP for a start-up consulting firm that provides complete project/program management and engineering services to developers and owners. Provided a strong concentration of services in the early project phases, inclusive of real estate acquisition and diligence, market fit/project selection, early project costing and financial modeling, oversight of design efforts, value engineering, and marketing with co-branding to optimize sales. Serviced loan brokerage firms to help evaluate projects submitted to them and to provide guidance to project parties where projects appear viable. Continued provision of traditional civil/site, mechanical/HVAC, and utility engineering services to varied clients.

Provided complete oversight of the planning, design, and construction aspects of the company’s development projects. Representative services include conceptual and master planning, acquisition diligence, preliminary design and costing, financial modeling and planning, and project execution planning. Projects were of varied size and scope, ranging from 250+ home subdivisions on undeveloped land, to a 450+ acre resort residential community, to a high-rise urban luxury condominium project.

Held several key positions of significant responsibility for one of the largest public university institutions in the country, which represented a physical plant exceeding $2.8 billion in value. Early duties included the complete provision of project management services for multiple concurrent high-profile projects, typically ranging between $20MM and $40MM annually. Later responsibilities included the oversight of construction phase support for capital construction projects at the University. Reviewed design phase submittals. Researched, developed, authored, and implemented the first Commissioning Process standards for the University. Led and/or played in integral role in multiple key process improvement initiatives to improve upon all aspects of project delivery, from capital planning and project initiation through project execution. Played an important role in the development, costing, and administration of a $500+MM multi-project capital improvement program, the largest in the university’s history.

Provided for the daily management and operations of the Engineering & Construction Division for the third largest regional wastewater utility in the state. Responsible for the supervision of and signature authority on in-house engineering designs, managed outside design consultants, and administered construction contracts for the Authority. A key accomplishment was the establishment of the inaugural version and continued maintenance of a revolving capital projects/needs plan. Provided total on-site engineering support for all Authority operations, maintenance, and service personnel.
