For the last 14 years at Van Cleef Engineering Associates, I have been the eyes, ears and the primary assistant to the Hopewell Township Municipal Engineer/Administrator. This includes overseeing just about every aspect of land development and public improvement within the Township. Most major improvements and developments that have taken place within the Township over this time period have come through my office in one way or another. More recently, I have also taken a similar role for the Township of West Windsor. First and foremost, this means the review of engineering plans and specs to ensure compliance with State, County and local regulations, followed by the preparation of detailed written review reports for presentation to the Planning and Zoning Boards. This role has also included working with planners, attorneys and other engineering firms in bringing such improvements from the blueprint stage to breaking ground.My experience also includes interacting with the people of these Townships. People who have to deal with the inconveniences of road closings, noisy construction and development that interrupts their daily lives. My skills in dealing with upset, irate and downright angry people have certainly been sharpened during my tenure at Van Cleef.I am comfortable with meeting and interacting with clients and other professionals, and I'm also comfortable with public speaking and giving presentations. While my experience is primarily within the engineering field, I feel that the skills I have acquired can be adapted to other fields of expertise as well.In my spare time I enjoy doing home renovation projects, woodworking, exercising and fly fishing. I'm also a big Phillies fan and I enjoy fantasy football.
