Mark Crocker, a Program Specialist with the WSU Energy Program, supports the Community Energy Efficiency Program and the U.S. Department of Energy-funded Better Buildings RePower Kitsap Program. Crocker is an experienced project manager and event coordinator, and he excels in supporting community partners at regional and national levels. Crocker assisted in the the management of a successful state-wide network of residential and small commercial energy efficiency programs. He has training in contract management, financial management, customer service and leadership development.

Working in the Emerging Leader Network, (ELN) Mark Crocker had several duties that include the following responsibilities: Financial administration - paying invoices, maintaining a monthly expense spreadsheet and auditing budgets biannually. Facilitating & Co-Facilitating projects - program resources, brochures and website development. Calendaring - Maintaining a calendar of events, ensuring team is on track to accomplish tasks related to upcoming events. Event management and coordination - compiling, printing and mailing needed documents for specific events, receiving and confirming registrations, maintaining event budgets. Crocker traveled to conventions, forums and symposiums at times leading workshops specializing in program leadership development.

As a Supervisor, managing staff, meeting sales goals, communication, and store operations were Mark Crocker's main priorities. Crocker was able to clearly communicate company procedures and updates to partners that was essential for success. Crocker handled all cash management while on shift did so with responsibility and accuracy. While working with Starbucks for 4.5 years, Crocker learned a lot about people. From customers to fellow partners, everyone is very different and it's important to be able to serve each one's needs successfully.

Mark Crocker worked as the Administrative Assistant to the Executive Director. He provided direct support to the Executive Director by scheduling meetings, conducting volunteer interviews and managing his weekly agenda. Crocker often represented the Executive Director and the organization to the community during any case of his absentees. Crocker also lead and organize 8 to 12 volunteers that worked in our organization at least 3 days a week. With this organization Crocker had the opportunity to use iWork, Illustrator and the Microsoft Suit in almost all of his office task which included the following: monthly newsletters to our community, creating and maintaining information databases, weekly agendas for staff, and office calendars.

During Mark Crocker's one-year internship commitment to this School Crocker served as an assistant to the office staff as well as an event manager. He gain/developed many leadership skills that varied from but not limited to: team building, community service outreaches and fundraising. As an office assistant Crocker completed projects that included weekly newsletter, student schedules and promotional material. All of which familiarized him with the iWork suit, Photoshop and Illustrator.
