Broadcast engineering professional with a proven track record for delivering large and complex broadcast systems projects. Experience designing solutions using all types of live broadcast technology with a recent focus on the move to IP for media using approaches built around ST2110, AES67 and Dante. I led the technical architecture design for the new BBC Wales headquarters at Cardiff Central Square including specifically the 'Live Core' functionality which was one of the first large scale implementations of SMPTE-2110 based interoperable IP routing within Europe. I am currently working on the technical architecture for the BBC East Bank project, a large new audio recording and production centre in Stratford, East London.Other recent projects have included the replacement of the BBC national DAB multiplex systems and managing the insource of control room functions back in to the BBC. Prior to this I was responsible for delivery of broadcast infrastructure for the W1 Project and the broadcast infrastructure design for BBC North. Previously to that worked on BBC W1 central systems and BBC World Service transmission systems, including the design and build of the Network Operations Centre.
