Strong geological, international operations & asset management background, with upstream oil and gas business experience with operators in the Middle East (Iran, Iraq, Oman, Qatar, Syria, UAE, Yemen), Far East (China), Asia (Bangladesh, India, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Turkmenistan), North & Sub-Saharan Africa (Algeria, Chad, Niger, Sudan, Tunisia, Egypt – Nile Delta & Western Desert), West Africa offshore (Gabon, Nigeria), Russia (Western Siberia) and offshore NW Europe (Denmark, Norway, UK). Predominantly working on Kurdistan projects from 2007 to 2015. From September 2015, semi-retired running his own business and a Director of the Clonakilty Chamber of Commerce in Ireland, while also providing ad hoc technical consultancy to former colleagues for new ventures in Africa, the Caribbean, and the Middle East. Post 2015 activity limited by treatment for cancer. Pronounced fully recovered and medically fit in 2023 after participating in successful new drugs trial, and looking to re-enter the E&P industry.
