My wife and I Iaunched our food ordering app www.pronto.co.uk just as Covid hit the UK to ensure the restaurants in our town survived the pandemic.The app is like deliveroo and justeat but instead of charging ~30% commission, we charge 10% - a fairer, sustainable deal for restaurants.The system and app is powered by the amazing https://redbox.systems/ Our app has generated over £1.5m for restaurants in Ilkley and is now fully automated, creating a passive income for us with a 5% profit.Restaurants survived the pandemic and often exceeded their turnover as regular restaurants. The restaurants continue to operate as takeaway as well as regular restaurants. We were recognised as “Business of the Year” by Ilkley BID for the impact we created.I’m really proud of not only what we achieved but how we achieved it. Pivoting restaurants into delivery for the first time, we helped our local community here in Ilkley during lockdown and beyond.

The latest project has involved creating imbalanced text classification tasks using neural networks, word vectors, convolutional layers and markov chains to increase accuracies across multiple countries. Creating solutions for clients to help get the most from their data. Projects have included creating interactive Power BI & Tableau dashboards for clients, staff training, requirements gathering, bespoke data analysis, and bespoke data visualisations - including animation, video, interactive content, and flat visualisations. Our main data science project used Data Science to predict Footfall outside shops and other key areas. We predicted footfall for every hour over the following 3 months to help shops understand staff level needs, when to put on sales, when to open late, and where staff should be located in stores. GP Ratings for iPhone helps people make choices about which GP Surgery to register with, based on a number of different criteria. Selected by the Sunday Times as one of their top 500 apps in the world, across all devices. The app reached #1 in the iTunes chart.The app contains information about every GP Surgery in England (8,300 surgeries). It contains 42 million pieces of patient feedback. As well as Doctors, the app now contains ratings for Nurses, receptionist staff, & outcomes measures for Cancer, Asthma, and Diabetes & CHD. On average each surgery has 5,000 patients responses and outcomes.The app enables people to find their 10 closest surgeries and view their ratings as a list or on a map.Once a GP Surgery is selected people can see the surgery address, the number of male and female GPs, and the phone number. People can also choose to navigate to their chosen surgery using in-app functionality.
