I began working here in 2007 prior to the School's £15M building being completed. I worked with the M&E team on the designs for electrical and data systems within the building. I worked closely with a number of partners including the National Computing Centre to ensure the delivery of the £1.5M IT installation was completed on time and met the needs of the Academy.I manage an IT team to ensure IT service is delivered efficiently and meets the needs of teachers, learners and other stakeholders. Running unders the FITS framework (ITIL for Schools) we ensure the service enhances teaching & learning within the Academy.I am currently working on the building of our Primary school which, once complete, will make us an all-through Academy. Again I am working with the M&E teams and suppliers to ensure the IT is delivered into this new build.Having recently moved over to Progresso MIS I am heavily involved in developing the business intelligence side of Progresso using SSRS to streamline, automate business process and to provide real time information to teachers and administrators automatically.Currently working on the building of a new Secondary School within the Academy Group. This being the 4th new build school and the 7th build project I've been heavily involved with over the last 15 years. Once again working very closely with the building contractors, local council and numerous other stakeholders and suppliers on a number of technical aspects of the building (network, virtualisation, WiFi, Internet & telephone lines and systems, building management systems, access control, CCTV etc.).

Challenge College was a new build school which at the time of starting hadn't been built. I started here in 2000 after 4 years at Uni located in our temporary base. Started managing and configuring an NT4 and Novell network and all server and client devices. Then rolled out a full Windows 2000 network to replace the current network which I managed and developed for the next 6 years.As the plans for the new £12M building took shape I began working closely with the M&E designers on the electrical and data design of the new building. This involved designing electrical and data layouts for all systems and rooms in the new build to accomodate not only teaching and learning but also all of the ancillary systems in the building such as CCTV, building management, door access control etc.In 2005 I worked on the £4M extension to the building including relocating the School's City Learning Center, new IT classrooms and training rooms and new server room. Again I worked closely with the M&E team to design the electrical and data layouts and expanding existing systems into the new building.
