My career has always led to developing skills related to finding information and providing information to help people understand how things work, how to stay healthy, how news may impact their lives, how to reinforce good judgment, and how to understand risks.I prefer to take ownership of problems and procedures, and must be involved in the big picture. I perform best if I am in a conversation with the top decision-makers in a company, who have full vision of the status and future of the business or project. Fundamentally, human factors (ergonomics), human-to-human communications, and human-machine interface are my specialty; and are essential to the way I solve problems or create successful processes. I believe progress involves a constant struggle over getting a task done now with the resources you have now versus getting a task done better with higher quality or greater magnitude, with more efficiency, with less risk, with greater speed (unless speed is not needed or desired), and at a lower cost.I have a passion for getting accurate and effective messages out for populations and groups. I have a strong background in health care and health care communications, information research, picking up news leads, consumer and user technology, writing, website design, and social media.
