About Mark Brownridge

Mark has over twenty five years’ experience in Financial services most recently as Director General of the Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) Association, the trade body for the EIS industry. Previous to that, he spent 10 years as Head of Research and Development at Mazars, a leading UK financial planning firm. Mark is highly qualified being a Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Financial Planner, Chartered Wealth Manager and Fellow of the Personal Finance Society and sits on the BVCA's EIS and VCT committee and the AIC's VCT committee and previously sat on the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments Accredited firms committee and TISA’s Distribution Policy Council. Mark has also been chair and a member of a number of VC investment committees as well as a NED for a number of companies. Mark’s involvement with tax efficient investing began over 20 years ago and he is a leading voice in the tax efficient investment industry.     I joined Mazars in May 2006 from Grant Thornton and am proud to have achieved the Chartered and Certified Financial Planner qualifications as well as Fellowship of the PFS.My current role is leading the Financial Planning Research and Development function at Mazars. My main responsibilities are to research, develop, approve and implement product panels and ensure their effective roll out to our Financial Planning teams. I also author all MFP flyers, brochures, report templates and press articles.     Devised, developed and implemented the Mazars Financial Planning At Retirement service. The service is aimed at individuals retiring or thinking of retiring and helps walk them through the financial planning options available at this important time in their life. The service caters for individuals with any size of pension fund and provides either a basic annuity service or a more comprehensive, holistic financial planning service. My role was to project manage the introduction of this new financial planning service, indentify a 3rd party to provide a cost effective annuity service for smaller pension funds and research all the retirement options including scheme pension and open annuities. The service drives retirees to our service and has been extremely positively received.
