The Firefighters Charity Fund Melbourne Inc. comprises two entities approved by the ATO as having DGR status. The funding stream is largely based on a platform of workplace giving from the employees of the MFB as well as having an on-line facility for donations through givenow. Entity one is the Charity fund-Member contributors have an input into which recognised Charities we contribute to, based around the 3 core areas of children's health, burns treatment and cancer. The charity fund also supports members efforts in fund raising activities based around specific events such as the Eureka stair climb.Entity two is the legacy fund- members can nominate any person for financial assistance that is required due to a medical issue.
