Established by clinicians and researchers at Sweden’s Karolinska Medical Institute, our journey in the UK began in 2015. Working in collaboration with the Nuffield Trust, we launched a large trial, which has shown exceptional outcomes for patients and the NHS. The Innovation Fellows are selected through a rigorous evaluation process to identify those individuals capable of scaling high impact innovations. Project managed the technical deliver of a customised multi-lingua enterprise resource planning (ERP) web-based software tool. In particular I oversaw the Arabic re-write of the user interface and multi-lingual architecture required to enable this in the early days of the internet when internationalisation was not as established. This was developed by a dispersed software and translation team working across multiple continents and was implemented in over 120 countries. It included extensions to manage reproductive health consumable supply chains, global policy and formal accreditation of membership of the wider federation. Beyond the technology I led, trained and supported the global roll-out of this ERP tool that is still inj use today.
