Performance Trail Run and Hike Footwear Development

- Responsible for multiple technical development projects each season, helping shape new concept and design briefs into new last developments, new patterns and new outsole components where needed. Responsible for managing the timeline and technical details for each project from creation to commercialization.- Primary developer for the Grandview Goretex, Strata Universal, Terra Fi 5, and many other performance sandal and hike products.- Deckers' in-house footwear customs classification guru

- Manage product creation process for new UGG footwear projects from design through commercialization, including responsibility for: specifications, engineering, patterns, molds, materials, costing, sourcing, fit and wear testing, and commercialization.- Primary developer on the Adirondack 3 and other women's performance cold weather product.- Ready To Buy/Commercialization point person for UGG Footwear development. Responsible for monitoring the commercialization calendar for all UGG footwear products, raising visibility to potential issues, and representing the team in weekly RTB meetings.- UGG Footwear duty and customs development lead. Responsible for assisting other developers and product managers with duty related questions, concerns and problem solving; Assist with scheduling seasonal duty review meetings; managing communication with off-site duty attorneys, and coordinating the sending of samples for lab scans or customs review.- Men's team leather development point person. Responsible for starting and monitoring new leather developments, coordinating sample materials, identifying potential issues, and providing alternatives when necessary.

- Managed product creation process for new footwear developments from design through commercialization.- Created and managed specification sheets for new product and ensure accuracy between specification sheets, design drawings, and proto samples.- Provided accurate cost estimates for all new developments and work with product management and design to deliver cost effective samples at each development stage.- Reviewed cost sheets and samples upon arrival with product management and costing team to identify cost issues and suggested cost alternatives in regards to materials and construction.- Achieved consistent on time buy readiness results for all projects. Worked with the factories, the necessary product managers, engineers, and designers when problems jeopardize on time delivery.- Ensured all products are designed and developed to maximize whole shoe comfort, team with engineers to ensure all products are designed with fit and function in mind.- Managed new material and new leather development. Lead all product problem solving and product/material testing.- Traveled to factories to review new product development, better understand the manufacturing process, and solve for potential production concerns.- Actively sought to enhance footwear development knowledge with regards to materials, constructions, mold drawings, and production processes.- Participated in seasonal product costing meetings to provide costing support and evaluate development and design changes.- Represented the Men's Development Team at seasonal value engineering meetings to review and execute potential cost savings on all existing product.

- Managed cost sheets and margin worksheets for men’s, outdoor performance, and Timberland PRO teams.- Created numerous FOB target worksheets, margin analysis tools, and provided other costing research regarding waterproofing, footbeds, injection molding, and leather yields for the entire development team.- Analyzed product costs for company owned factory in the Dominican Republic.- Mentored with lead and senior footwear developers to build footwear development and commercialization experience
