CurrentWorking for one-of the largest UK tour operators, this role has given me an excellent opportunity to develop my Portuguese language skills and learn about the intricacies of working in Portugal. In addition, it has given me highly valuable experience and new skills. My duties include: Visiting hotel properties and meeting with customers and responding to their wide-ranging queries. Dealing with unforeseen 'non-client' problems (flight delays, transport strikes, adverse weather). Establishing relationships with hoteliers, apartment owners, agents and travel companies. Checking hotel standards and safety procedures inc. risk assessments and safety checks. Keeping basic accounts and records and writing reports. Assisting in the support and training of new staff.
