Apply previous operations knowledge to Research Technologies to destroy; remediate; and dispose of chemical weapons; assess, access, demilitarize, and decontamination systems evaluated and recommended.Current assignments include supporting the ACWA contract for engineering; process design evalautions; and closure estimating. Additional responsibilities include the authoring of technical white papers associated with the subjects of chemical demilitarization processes, equipment, materials of construction, and chemical agent production. As a Sr. Engineer (SAIC/Leidos) involved with the design of a Screening Facility (SF), I interfaced with the contractor for the Design and Construction of the facility; coordinated Technical Evaluations and reviewed Technologies for possible incorporation into the SF; participated in the review of Preliminary and Concept Designs; and developed specifications based on the Expected Process Flow of screened materials.As a 22 year asset to the Chemical Agent Operations Team with the government, I developed Technical Applications for new and innovative ways to destroy CW; authored Detailed Descriptions of Chemical Demilitarization Facilities (CDFs) for the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC); designed and implemented Processes for new Alternative Facilities based on the operation of the CDF (incineration or neutralization); and gathered Historical Information on material utilized for CDF construction, concerns with the disposal of various CW, and the overall rate and availability of disposal equipment afforded during agent destruction.
