Mark A. Deitz is currently the Managing Director of Mortgage at SECU, Maryland where he is responsible for retail and wholesale residential lending management and strategy and Home Equity. Mark is also responsible for the recruitment of mortgage professionals to SECU. Prior to joining SECU, Mark was the Regional Sales Leader for Academy Mortgage Corporation in the Mid- Atlantic where he was responsible for growth and business development. He also previously served in other leadership capacities as Managing Director of First Savings Mortgage Corporation and as Senior Vice President and Area Sales Manager for EagleBank’s Residential Lending Division. In the mortgage banking business since 2002, Mark has served various leadership positions in the local DC area: Sales Manager/MetLife Home Loans in Bethesda, MD; Mortgage Consultant/Renovation Specialist/Wells Fargo Home Mortgage in Rockville, MD; Universal American Mortgage Company/Sales Manager…and Superior Home Mortgage in Kensington, MD/Mortgage Banker. Of major importance to Mark is coaching, mentorship and development of loan officers, helping them build successful careers through the expansion of their business. Mark also focuses on building strategic relationships with local developers and builders where together, they generate tremendous synergy and mutual opportunity. Mark is a Certified Mortgage Banker a Certified Mortgage Advisor, completed the National Mortgage Bankers Association Future Leaders Program and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Mortgage Bankers Association of Metropolitan Washington and Montgomery County Police Foundation (President). Mark previously served on the boards of Maryland Mortgage Bankers and Brokers Association, Bethesda Chevy Chase Rotary Club and Foundation (treasurer), and St. Elizabeth Catholic School (treasurer).
