Mark currently serves as the Director of Business Services for Wealth Management and is the Business Unit Controls Officer. In this role, he leads a team focused on enable and supporting a consistent and effective oversight model and a strong control environment commensurate with business unit growth and evolving operating model complexity. In addition, he oversees a team focused on managing strategic initiatives, and the technology capital budget for the business unit. Mark has a diversified career within Wealth Management with expertise in product strategy, process design, product development, portfolio management and program management. Extensive experience implementing major strategic transformations, business-driven technology-enabled projects and internal business consulting. Mark is a member of the WM Capital Committee, WM Risk Committee, Enterprise Operational Risk Committee, and Enterprise IT Risk Committee. In addition, he serves on multiple Executive Steering committees. - Builds relationships, solves for complex business opportunities, launches new products, and leads executives through decisions to drive change. - Skilled at leading and motivating diverse teams of professionals to deliver complex long-term transformations.- Collaborates across the organization and with external partners. Works closely with business leads, technology, client experience, finance, legal/risk, operations, and human resources. - Utilizes sophisticated communication and interpersonal skills to balance and meet the varied needs of multiple stakeholders on multi-million dollar projects.Mark joined Northern Trust in 1998 after graduating with a B.S. degree in finance and a minor in sociology from Indiana University. He received his MBA in 2004 from DePaul University.
