In September, 2013, the Board of Directors selected me to provide leadership for the organization's strategic direction while continuing to manage major programs. Accomplishments include:• Leadership of multi-stakeholder Regional Extension Center (REC) program, including ten Local Extension Centers, 50+ Service Partners, EHR vendors, the Office of the National Coordinator for HIT (ONC), and partnering state agencies• Revitalization of CalHIPSO’s REC program to meet ONC and corporation goals, with 100% of 6,000+ participating providers live on an EHR and 76% at Meaningful Use by December 31, 2013• Consolidation of two business units into a single team; restructuring of REC service delivery approach; staff oversight, mentoring, and human resources compliance• Monitoring of subcontracts to ensure accountability; initiation of contracting processes for new services• Key contributor to business development of new product and service lines; raised new funding; represented of CalHIPSO at regional, state, and national venues

Funded by the California Health and Human Services Agency and the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, CHeQ was the successor to Cal eConnect, my previous employer. I led programs with a 2013 budget of over $5 million designed to accelerate health information exchange in medical communities throughout California. I also managed efforts to monitor and analyze EHR adoption and the flow of health information across unaffiliated provider organizations in the state. The pioneering work of CHeQ's many grantees and stakeholders is laying a critical foundation for the implementation of health reform, the adoption of value-based payment models, and patient-centered care. -
