I am a board-certified anesthesiologist and senior partner in a large anesthesia practice in Dallas, Texas. I currently serve as the Vice-Chair of the Anesthesia Department at Medical City Arlington, a large, Level 2 trauma hospital in Dallas. I am also Chair of both the medical ethics and peer review committees at that hospital, and therefore have extensive experience leading other physicians and dealing with complex medical ethics and legal issues. I also serve as the director of the Preoperative Assessment Clinic where I am responsible for approving all patients for surgery. I spent several years training in neurosurgery at UT Southwestern and completed my anesthesiology training at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. I have vast experience as a medical expert witness, having reviewed over one hundred and fifty cases, many of which have advanced to both the deposition and trail phases. My roles as both chair of the ethics committee and peer review committee expand on that experience and position me to evaluate a case from a broader view that includes ethical and professional considerations. In addition, my training in surgery gives me insight beyond just the anesthesia issues and allows for a more thorough case evaluation. Outside of my medical practice, I have several entrepreurial endeavors. I am CEO of Genmar Ventures, Inc, a company that owns several Montessori schools and educational ventures in DFW. I am also currently involved with the development of AI tools in the medical space, including an AI platform for medical expert witnesses and AI tools for anesthesia scheduling and operating room efficiency. I have a strong background in technology and computer science, with experience in Python and other programming languages. I am passionate about exploring advancements in technology, education and medicine to improve outcomes for patients and improve the delivery and efficiency of healthcare. I am also passionate about educating youth to develop the purpose, discipline and knowledge to effect change in their own lives and the world around them. I am currently pursuing an MBA at the MIT Sloan School of Management and self-teaching MIT's curriculum for a bachelors in computer science.
