Network On Site Rep (NOSR), associated with Submarines in San Diego AOR. Advising,providing technical support,mentoring,and overseeing all LAN (Local Area Network) areas on Submarines. Working as a Tycom representative to all boats for ensuring all Tycom Cyber Security requirements are met and adhered to.Providing maintenance support and guidance for the fleet.

Assist the Type Commander (TYCOM) in ensuring submarine networks are operated, administered and maintained per established DoD, DoN, Force and Fleet policies.Advised TYCOM, Squadron Commanders, and submarine Commanding Officers (CO) on issues concerning submarine network technical, maintenance, and administrative issues and provide input and recommendations at daily TYCOM/Squadron meetings, submarine network program and working group meetings, and waterfront technical meetings.Assist ship’s force in obtaining distant and onboard Fleet Technical Assistance (FTA) with area responsible RMCs per JFMM.Assist ship’s force in resolving operational, maintenance, administrative and logistics problems which have degraded system performance or operational capability.Provide technical consultation services, guidance, and mentoring to squadron and ship’s force personnel in support of operation, maintenance and administration of submarine networks.Provide and/or assist in obtaining refresher training for ship’s force in support of operation, maintenance, and administration of networks as required/requested.Monitor ship’s force abilities and practices pertaining to submarine network operation, maintenance, and administration. Ensure the TYCOM, Submarine Squadron, and Submarine COs are apprised of the material condition and operational readiness of networks on assigned submarines and provide recommendations for actions and/or improvements as required.Participate in upkeep, CNO Availability and POM inspections with the ISIC to evaluate the health of the ship’s network and the conduct of associated administrative practices.Assist the TYCOM/ISIC in maintaining strict configuration control of current and planned architectures by maintaining accurate configuration management documentation for all assigned submarines.Perform liaison duties between the ship, installation and the TYCOM/ISIC to ensure established configuration management baselines are maintained.Provide feedback.
