SPACETALK rapidly became recognised globally as the market leader in the fast growing connected children's wearables industry and we proudly helped showcase Australian innovation and technology globally, with sales in UK, Europe (Nordics), USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. At launch, the Spacetalk business model included a highly innovative recurring revenue model involving a parental control mobile app to keep their child safer online, which parents paid for on a monthly subscription. In 2021, the company expanded the recurring revenue by developing its own bundled SIM called Jumpy. Spacetalk was sold by the world's biggest mobile operators and retailers such as Virgin, Telefonica, Best Buy, O2, Sky, Elisa, Telstra, Spark, JB HiFi and many others.Spacetalk's development was funded out of the profits of MGM Wireless, another company I founded which discovered and pioneered the use of SMS messaging in schools to improve student attendance and safety. Used by over 7,000 schools in Australia and globally, MGM wireless was directly attributed to saving a student life on 7 separate occasions, receiving accolades from educators and community leaders for its benefits to students.In November 2022, relinquished all operational & governance involvement and in February 2023 sold remaining shareholding in Spacetalk.

Co-Founded the company in 2001 with Mark Hurd (deceased) initially as a SMS marketing company, In 2002 we invented the application of schools to use our systems to rapidly notify parents by SMS if their child didn't arrive to school when expected. We then went on to develop the first SMS Automated Student Absence Notification systems, or Chatbot.This innovation pioneered global mass school adoption of SMS as a powerful and fast way to communicate to parents not only for unexplained absences, but also for emergencies, event reminders and a way for parents to easily stay engaged with their child's school life. MGM Wireless systems became a standard form of communication in over 60% or 7,000+ schools in Australia. On 7 separate occasions, MGM Wireless systems, were directly attributed to saving a student life receiving praise and accolades from educators, community and political leaders for the benefits to students. In 2008, after the MGM Wireless systems were attributable for saving a student's life in Perth following a horrific school event. The Premier directed the state government to purchase and make provide free of all costs the MGM Wireless system to every Government school in the state of Western Australia. This led to the adoption of MGM Wireless systems by over 800 schools In Western Australia alone. Rapidly growing to become the marker leader, a position MGM Wireless held for almost two decades, the company was also recognised as a leader in socially responsible, safe and secure communication technology.At its peak in 2017, MGM Wireless school communication systems were used by 7,000 school including every Australian State Education Department, the New Zealand Ministry of Education, and multiple School Districts in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Silicon Valley California, Tuscon and Pheonix Arizona. In 2015 I began to pivot the company's business to wearable technology for children, which proved to be a very successful strategy for the company.
