I'm a DJ, radio producer, curator, and filmmaker based in Los Angeles, focused on sharing transcendent sonic experiences.In 1999, I co-founded dublab.com, a pioneering web radio station exploring wide-spectrum music. dublab now has satellite operations in Spain, Germany and Japan.I served as the Executive Director of dublab until 2015 when I returned to the University of Southern to earn my masters in Arts Journalism. Currently I'm a freelance music journalist and sound curator. I host weekly radio programs on dublab and Red Bull Radio. I have interviewed hundreds of artists including Björk, James Brown, Laurie Anderson, Edgar Wright, Flying Lotus and John Cale. As a DJ I have performed sets at venues including Hollywood Bowl, Walt Disney Concert Hall, Getty Center, etc. I have co-produced high concept music events as venues around the world with an emphasis on immersive sound experiences.Alongside Daedelus, I have recorded two full length, internationally distributed albums under the name Adventure Time. I have produced records released on Light in the Attic, Mexican Summer, Plug Research, Anticon and more labels.I'm the co-director of the music documentaries LAFMS: how low can you go? and Secondhand Sureshots. I co-produce the long-running Border Blaster international music video TV show on KCET and dublab's VisionVersion film series. As an Annenberg Fellow at the University of Southern California School of Journalism, I produced a radio documentary focused on Alice Coltrane’s ashram albums that became a live stage presentation for Pop-Up Magazine and the liner notes of an acclaimed album release on Luaka Bop.I have curated custom music experiences for major brands and arts organizations including Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Ace Hotel, Mast Brothers, Nissan, TED, etc. I frequently present public lectures with an emphasis on encouraging audiences to broaden perspectives on sound.
